Wow. So the UKapos;s first Fable II reviews are out there, and Iapos;m shocked. Say what you will about english reviewers and taking to their ilk, but the adoration for it seems to be off the charts. 9/10 from EDGE, 10/10 from Eurogamer, 9.5/10 from IGN UK.

I guess one thing can be said, Iapos;m mightily proud to have contributed to its completion :)

I also checked out the Fable II strategy guide at Gamestop last week, since it came in. Itapos;s a surreal thing to see your name in print. But there it was. Hereapos;s hoping this trend continues~

Surprise

I decided that it was time for a change. Live Journal makes it very easy to change the look of your journal. All you do is go to the Customize link under Your Settings and then review the many page options that are available. Once you decide which one you want to change to, you simply click on Apply and voila, itapos;s changed.

The biggest problem about making the change is deciding on what the new look will be. But since itapos;s easy to change, Iapos;m going to try this one.

Iapos;d love to hear from any of you as to whether you like the new look or that it doesnapos;t "ring your bell". If I get more Nays than Yays, Iapos;ll change it. Otherwise, Iapos;ll just keep it until the chnage bug strikes again

My hair is fixed. I got up this morning and put a much darker dye in it. The roots are still lighter, but not noticably so, and not ridiculously so, as was the case last night. The world is right again.

I love Sunday afternoons when I know I donapos;t have to work (I told my boss I wonapos;t do Sundays anymore, and miraculously, she was ok with it), when I can just sit on my nicely made bed, in my newly cleaned room, with relaxing music on, and just chill. Itapos;s lovely. Itapos;s raining outside and itapos;s cosy in here and the world is just good, you know? I think I might get some tea and watch some mindless TV. The question is, what do I want to watch?

Tomorrow morning (Sunday October 19th) from 7am until (hopefully) no later
than 9am, most of the sca.org.nz/paradise.gen.nz services will be
unavailable as I commence the migration of services to some new hardware.
I apologise for the short lead time of this outage notification.

During this time Iapos;ll disable the mail and web servers - my apologies if
this coincides with a time you like to be able to read your mail, but itapos;s
the most convenient time being just after the daily backups have usually
finished running.

In the event that anything doesnapos;t go well, or the nightly backups havenapos;t
completed or are in any way deemed insufficient, I will be rolling back to
the existing server.

Itapos;s also entirely likely that Iapos;ll miss something during the migration.
Hopefully nothing too important, but if you notice anything that doesnapos;t
seem to be working properly afterwards, please email me directly or comment here.

In retrospect, I own the CD he is promoting, and as I pre-ordered it, I got the cool signed post card that comes with the pre-order. I really do not need any more of his signatures - not unless I can use them like protective amulets and ward off bad spirits. Then I need more of them hahahaha.
